User Guide

Please keep in mind that these guides are a work in progress and will be continually updated as we add new features. If there is something you have a question about or need help with please post your inquiry in our forum at: www.opencsm.com/forum.

The following section will assist you in getting started with SpiceCSM. Basic features common to all modules will be covered first. After the introduction to these basic features you will find module specific guides. The module specific guides cover all the features available in the SpiceCSM community edition.

Logging In

To login:

  1. Click inside the Username text box and type your username.
  2. Click inside the Password text box and type your password.
  3. Hit the Enter key or Click the Continue button.

Optionally you can tell SpiceCSM to: save your username and password; select a theme for spice (default theme is gray); or select a different language for Spice to use.

If this is your first time logging into Spice, or your password has been reset, you will be prompted to change your password by entering your current password and your new password twice. After this is done Spice will then redirect you to your default module.

The default password for all new Spice users is 'Password123'.

Common Module Interface

Common Header

The common Spice header contains links to 'Support', 'Settings', 'Log Out', and 'Change Password'. Users with an access level of administrator or higher will also have the option 'Reset Password'. There are also two drop down lists located on the header: 'Module' and 'Language'.

Links

1) Support

The support link opens a window that contains self help information and directions on how to seek further assistance.

2) Settings

The settings link opens the settings module in a new browser tab. From the settings module you can access the Module, Agent, Brand, and Company Management features. Also from here you will have access to Automated and Live Work Flow Rules.

3) Log Out

Logs the current user out of Spice.

4) Change Password

Initiates the change password process. The user will be prompted to change their password by entering their current password and their new password twice.

5) Reset Password

The reset password link will open a window with a selection box populated with all agents. The user can then select an agent from the list and reset their password by clicking the reset button. At anytime the user can cancel the process by closing the window or clicking the cancel button. When reset a password is changed to the system default 'Password123'.

Module Selection

Module selection allows a user to switch between the different modules of Spice they have access to. Only modules which they have permission to access will appear in this list.

Language Selection

Language selection allows a user to change the language that Spice displays in.
